A little further afield, visitors can explore pretty East Neuk fishing villages and their colourful harbours, the intriguing Secret Bunker, Scone Palace, St Andrews, Falkland Palace and Gardens (7 miles), RSPB Loch Leven and Perth (15 miles) – all within a short drive. Golf, riding and fishing are available nearby.

This was superior accommodation with extra touches like towels, tea towels, cloth/sponge for washing up, milk, wine and toilet rolls; all thoughtful items which mean you can arrive and start your holiday straight away. For everything else i.e. food, Tesco does home delivery. The owners were very friendly and offered their assistance if required but were not in any way intrusive. The cottage was extremely clean and well kitted out and the location very picturesque with cattle, sheep, horses and deer in the fields round about and great forest walks from the doorstep. The pool and games room were terrific and well used by our family. The location was ideal for touring Fife and Perthshire with easy access to Edinburgh. Highly recommended holiday experience and we would definitely return.
